This research project explores the blood-brain barrier (BBB) — one of the most critical and selective membranes in the human body. The BBB protects the brain from harmful substances in the bloodstream while allowing essential nutrients to pass through.

Our team investigated how the barrier functions at a cellular level and explored potential intersections with AI-driven approaches to drug delivery, aiming to better understand how therapeutic agents can be designed to cross the BBB effectively.
